Q: I will be relocating from NH to Naples, FL, in a couple of months and I plan to start my brand new real estate career there. Ideally, I would like to be able to sit for the FL sales associate exam as soon as I arrive in FL. However, FL requires 63 hours of pre-licensing education to be completed in order to be eligible to sit for the exam. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a quality online learning program by which I could fulfill the 63-hr requirement? There are many out there, but I?m having trouble sorting through the junk. I?ve also read that some brokers will pay for this training and the licensing process; is this true, or should I stick to my plan to get my license before approaching brokers about employment?

A: I highly recommend Fred Klopfer School of Real Estate and Bob Hogue. Both are excellent in person AND online schools. Good Luck.

A: I would get a license first. When you shop for a broker you?re going to work for you are ?truly an independent contractor? and you can cut your best deal with out owing anything to the broker. Namley the fact that they paid for your license.
Look for the name of the Board of Realtors that cover the area your going to practice in. Ask them for a recommendation on where to acquire the training to secure a Fla. License.
Good Luck!
