We seek top talent for a high-visibility role to lead the portfolio of application development and maintenance activities associated with one the largest eCommerce/internet platforms that drive Best Buy's eCommerce/Web Capabilities like bestbuy.com, mobile web, mobile apps, Best Buy Open. The growth of the online business has been identified as one of the 4 growth pillars for Best Buy.

The Senior Manager of Disaster Recovery (DR) program will be responsible for reviewing IT systems, infrastructure architecture, DR failover capabilities, and DR plans. This position will be responsible for ensuring that IT integrators, outsourcers, and internal partners are designing disaster recovery capabilities based on DR reference architectures and DR planning frameworks. As the lead for the Disaster Recovery program, the Sr. Manager will gather information about IT systems, audit documentation and infrastructure, propose changes to help meet DR standards and manage the Business Impact Analysis (BIA). As a part of the disaster recovery program, the Sr. Manager may also gather requirements, develop potential solutions, coordinate system changes, conduct testing, and draft documentation. These functions work to provide assurance that critical systems and business functions can recover within the defined recovery period.

Key position responsibilities:

Independent Verification and Validation
- Review Disaster Recovery Plans to ensure that documentation conforms to agreed upon templates
- Audit DR Plans to determine if application infrastructures conform to established reference architecture standards
- Manage DR plan documentation, updating as needed, and setting expectations with IT integrators, outsourcers, and internal partners; ultimately responsible for maintaining a single DR template across all parties
- Coordinate Plan creation and remediation efforts with DR Coordinators for various IT integrators, ensuring they set and meet dates
- Improve audit and documentation methodologies to align with constantly developing disaster recovery goals

Disaster Recovery Assurance
- Aid in the development of key Disaster Recovery Documentation, such as the IT Continuity and Crisis Management Plans
- Ensure that Disaster Recovery requirements are being appropriately implemented within projects
- Collaborate with the Architecture Governance team to ensure that DR requirements are being followed and implemented appropriately for new projects and systems undergoing significant change

Information Gathering about IT Systems
- Gather Disaster recovery information, including infrastructure details, about critical IT systems.
- Manage and report enterprise wide Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
- Report findings in enterprise risk governance tools to help track progress across key DR goals
- Help improve risk governance tools and processes

Stakeholder Communication
- Regularly report progress, and significant IT risks to the director of Disaster Recovery, and VP of GBS Assurance/Chief Information Officer
- Work with the DR Program Owner to develop and maintain program goals. Measure against these goals to report KPIs as indicated from IV&V audit findings
- Develop IV&V status materials for regular reports submitted to executive stakeholders, including the audit committee and board of directors

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 10 or more years broad IT experiences involving working with business clients to develop and gather IT system requirements
- 4 or more years experience in managing disaster recovery independent verification and validation programs including Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
- 4 or more years experience in management of people and leading project teams, managing tasks to budget
- 4 or more years Experience managing partner and vendor relationships to ensure delivery of key IT objectives

Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in one of the following:
? Computer Engineering
? Computer Science
? Management Information Systems
? Business
- Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity certification from DRJ or DRII
