Miami, FL (PRWEB) January 05, 2012
Construction Connection, the fast-growing informational and networking resource for construction professionals and companies, announces its supportive involvement with partner organizations in the construction industry. By contributing time, energy, capital, and intellectual resources, Construction Connection aims to support the entire construction industry through continued education, teaching construction professionals to implement the latest technology, and contributing finances and time to other construction organizations.
In December, Construction Connection acted as a Gold-level sponsor for the Miami chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction. Acting on the goal of becoming the best possible resource for all construction industry professionals and businesses, Construction Connection donated generously to the 50th Anniversary and Scholarship Fundraiser for NAWIC. The ?Havana Nights? themed event was NAWIC Miami?s major fund-raising event for the year to benefit local educational programs which provide scholarships for college students in the community who are interested in careers in the construction industry.
Construction Connection has also partnered with The Construction Underground, Inc., a not-for-profit in South Florida, to further promote business-to-business interaction and networking within the construction industry. Construction Connection donated four months of raffle prizes, such as t-shirts and gift certificates for Construction Connection vendors, for organizational events arranged by The Construction Underground.
In October, Construction Connection worked in conjunction with Verizon Wireless to organize and present a seminar on field technology in the construction industry. The two-and-a-half hour open forum featured instruction on the latest cell phone technologies, the cost of technology in business, QR codes, mobile credit card processing, and vehicle effectiveness. Construction Connection teamed with Verizon training experts to teach contractors how new technology can make and save them money.
Additionally, Construction Connection sponsored a fundraising event for the American Society of Professional Estimators. In November, Construction Connection contributed financial resources as well as human resources, by spending time working at the ASPE golf tournament to raise money for local construction universities. The tournament raised over $ 18,000 to support the education of construction estimators and for scholarship programs offered to those pursuing a career in construction through Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University, or Everglades University. Suzanne Breistol, co-founder of Construction Connection, has been a board member of the local chapter of ASPE for the past fourteen years and works at the tournament each year.
Construction Connection was created out of a need for a more effective and streamlined way for construction industry professionals to get matched with the right industry jobs and with the right industry opportunities. Construction Connection is seeking similar opportunities for community involvement across all major construction markets in the US. The partners of Construction Connection, both industry professionals themselves, listened to both company and individuals? dissatisfaction with the traditional job boards, paid resume blasts, overpriced resume services, and overall lack of sympathy toward the individual candidate. We also listened to the dissatisfaction from companies who post jobs only to get many irrelevant results or having to purchase high priced ads to showcase their company. Construction Connection is a patent-pending, one-of-a-kind profile creating / match-making system. The system delivers effective results. Construction Connection saves you time, money and aggravation by matching people to people, people to companies, companies to people, and company to company.
